Bio
Renee Mitson is a senior Ph.D. student at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. Advised by Hub Director and Public Relations Professor Linjuan Rita Men, her work explores internal public relations with an emphasis on leadership communication. She is particularly interested in female leadership communication, differing perceptions of diverse leaders among followers, and psychological outcomes as a result of leaders’ communication. Miston has over a decade of professional experience as public relations counsel and corporate strategy at brands such as Virgin, Burger King, Schneider Electric, and Electrolux.

She has represented a wide array of clients including TED Talks, LexisNexis, Burger King, Schneider Electric, Electrolux, Yelp, and Cornell University.
