Christen Buckley Named a UF International Center 2024 Global Fellow
Christen Buckley, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations assistant professor, has been selected as a UF International Center 2024 Global Fellow. The fellowship includes a $5,000 award and a $1,000 stipend for her faculty mentor Roxane Coche.
Buckley’s research areas of interest include advocacy, digital communication, the ethics of technology and public interest communications.
As a Global Fellow, she must demonstrate a commitment to add or integrate an international dimension to her research stream. She will also be required to complete an international research trip within a year, identify and meet with an on-campus mentor, and attend at least five workshops and a closing symposium.
The $5,000 seed grant funds can be used to cover expenses to travel to collect field data, to meet with international scholars, to access resources not available at UF, and to support any activity that advances research abroad.
An award ceremony for the 2024 fellows will be held on Nov. 13.
