CJC faculty and students were honored this past academic year for their exemplary work, strengthening the College’s position as one of the top communication programs in the country. Below are some of the honors they received this year.

Journalism

33 Hearst Journalism Awards, including:

  • Seven  National Championship Awards: First Place in Writing and Television Competitions, Third Place in Multimedia and four finalists in Writing, Television, Photojournalism and Multimedia
  • Five Intercollegiate Competition Overall Awards: Second overall, Third Place in Audio and Television and Third Place in Multimedia, Fourth Place in Writing and Seventh Place in Photojournalism

  • First Place awards in the Professional Competition Radio Newscast, Weather Reporting and Digital Programming categories
