Producing breaking news comes with many challenges. 10 Tampa Bay News Anchor Courtney Robinson and Stephen Adams, TEGNA Talent Acquisition Partner, will address the key elements of covering the news as it happens.

In this workshop, students will learn about advanced planning for creating seamless live coverage, get practical advice for ensuring field crews are safe at all times, absorb creative sourcing techniques for getting confirmed information first, gain an understanding of best practices for covering severe weather events, and discuss ways to address major ethical dilemmas in wall-to-wall coverage.

This session is not just for broadcast producers – we encourage CJC student that are exploring career paths as anchors, reporters and production crew to attend as well.
