Opportunities to Give

Sponsor a Student

A $6,000 gift can cover one student’s costs for a summer internship through CJCxNYC, including housing, travel and transportation. 

Housing

Streeteasy, a Zillow brand, reports the median rent in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan ranges from $2,250 – $3,300. That’s up to five times more expensive than the monthly rent in many Gainesville apartments. 

A $1,500 gift can cover one month’s rent for one student in most NYC student housing apartments. A $5,000 gift can cover up to three months’ rent. 

Travel & Transportation

Help students get to and around NYC with a flight or monthly MetroCard. 

  • A $127 gift can cover a student’s MetroCard for one month. 
  • A $300 gift can cover most round trip flights from Florida to New York. 

Local Experiences

Help students experience the culture and vibrancy of NYC through group visits or tours at museums, shows, studios and local restaurants. Ways to give include tickets, free tours or cash donations.
