Natalie Asorey and Nicholas Suriel Receive 2022 PRNEWS Special Recognition Awards
CJC alumni Natalie Asorey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Public Relations lecturer and associate director for Student Engagement at The Agency, and Nicholas Suriel, Client Services and Operations supervisor at The Agency, are the recipients of two 2022 Special Recognition Awards in the prestigious PRNEWS Platinum Awards competition.
Asorey, B.S. Public Relations 2013, was recognized as the PR Trainer/Educator of the Year and Suriel, B.S. Public Relations 2022, was named the PR Student of the Year. The Platinum Awards competition honors individuals and organizations for innovation and PR industry knowledge.
Asorey was named the University of Florida’s Undergraduate Faculty Advisor/Mentor of the Year for 2021-22 and the UFCJC Faculty Advising/Mentor of the Year. In 2021, PRNEWS named Asorey one of the Top Women in PR Rising Stars. Suriel received the College’s Florida Public Relations Association Award for 2021-2022.
The awards will be presented at the PRNEWS Platinum Awards Gala on Oct. 12 in New York City.
