FAQs About TAG
Who is TAG and what is their purpose?
TAG stands for Technology Advancement Group.The TAG group consists of the IT and Engineering Department. TAG researches, designs, tests, implements, and maintains all technology in Weimer Hall with the exception of classrooms, which is handled by the University.
They will provide you with the equipment you need and can help with any IT or broadcast engineering issue.
Who do I contact if I need help with technology or have an IT-related question?
TAG works on a “ticket” system. If you are experiencing any problems or have any questions, send an e-mail to help@jou.ufl.edu. They will assign an IT staff to help you.
How do I connect to WIFI?
Open your favorite browser and navigate to https://getonline.ufl.edu/. Please follow instructions to connect to the EDUROAM WIFI network. Use your GatorLink e-mail and password to connect.
Will I have Microsoft Office on my machine?
Yes, the full Office Suite will be installed on your machine. You may also go to https://www.office.com/ and sign in with your UF email, GatorLink, and PW to download Office 365, install, and use on up to five devices.
I need Adobe for my job, how do I request an Adobe ID for install?
Please have your supervisor submit a ticket to help@jou.ufl.edu requesting either Acrobat only or the full Adobe suite with reasons needed.
Who do I contact for help with Canvas and my GatorLink?
You may submit a help desk ticket at helpdesk@ufl.edu or give UFIT a call at (352) 392-4357.
I have an IT problem in my classroom, who do I contact?
Please contact classroom services at classrooms@ufl.edu or by phone at (352) 392-6683.
Does UF have research computing solutions?
Yes. You may find more information at https://www.rc.ufl.edu/. Please submit a TAG ticket for more information.
