Jordan Alpert’s Research Paper Featured in October Edition of Patient Education and Counseling
Jordan Alpert, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising assistant professor, was the lead author for the research paper, “Patient-Centered Communication in Digital Medical Encounters,” published in the Oct. 2017 issue of Patient Education and Counseling.
The collaborative research paper, co-authored with Karen E. Dyer and Jennifer Elston Lafata, focuses on a study of the types of messages initiated by patients communicating via patient portals to access whether providers employ patient-centered strategies in their electronic responses.
