Three University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications seniors were recognized by the UF Alumni Association (UFAA) for Spring 2017 Outstanding Leader Awards. Each semester, UFAA recognizes graduating Gators who exemplify leadership by inspiring peers and leaving a positive legacy  while demonstrating respect, integrity and excellence.

Journalism student Jenny Clements received first place honors and honorable mentions were awarded to Media and Society students Ronald Socash and Aubree Munro. Award recipients were featured in the commencement program and graduation ceremony processional. They were introduced and recognized by the UFAA president and were invited to sit on the platform as distinguished guests during the program.
