Clay Calvert and Sylvia Chan-Olmsted Published in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly
Two University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications scholars were published in different issues of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly in 2016.
In March 2016, Clay Calvert, UF CJC director of the Marion B. Brechner First Amendment Project, penned a book review on “Community Newspapers and the Japanese-American Incarceration Camps: Community, Not Controversy.”
In May 2016, UF CJC Telecommunication Professor Sylvia Chan-Olmsted co-authored “Understanding Tablet Consumers: Exploring the Factors That Affect Tablet and Dual Mobile Device Ownership” with former CJC Ph.D. student Ronan Shay. The paper focuses on the results of an exploratory study to investigate the factors that contribute to consumer ownership of tablets.
