Nathan Carpenter Co-Authors Textbook on Social Media Research Methods
Nathan Carpenter, director of the Atlas Social Media Listening Lab at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, is the co-author of Social Media Research Methods recently published by Cognella Academic Publishing.
In the publication, co-authors Carpenter, Joseph Mazer, dean of the University of Tennessee College of Communication & Information, and Brandon Boatwright, director of the Clemson University Social Media Listening Center, have created a comprehensive resource designed to help students use cutting-edge, timely communication research methods. The text introduces students to a variety of social media research methods and data analysis strategies and recognizes the richness of the data available within social media platforms. It underscores the importance of employing effective research methods to make meaning of that data.
