Spring 2024 ONLY – Study abroad University of Dubrovnik

Two students will have a unique opportunity to study abroad at the University of Dubrovnik in Croatia this Spring, and essentially be paid to do so thanks to an Erasmus grant. This program is available only Spring 2024.

Please note one of the two students must fit into one of the three categories in the attached “Inclusion Support” document.

Selected students will:

  • Take 20-30 ECTS (equivalent to 10-15 of our credit hours) at the University of Dubrovnik between Feb. 15 and June 1, 2024 — tuition free!
  • Receive travel expense in the amount of 1,500€ (about $1,600)
  • Receive either 800€ ($850) per month
  • For the student who fits into one of the three categories in the attached “Inclusion Support” document, receive an additional 250€ ($267) per month

Students can opt to stay in the dorms of the University of Dubrovnik which opened in 2021 for 230€ a month, including WiFi, electricity, and water. They can also eat meals at the cafeteria on campus for 1€ per meal.

At the end of the program, the University of Dubrovnik will issue a transcript in English so transferring credits is possible.

It is advised students get information about which courses transfer (and for what) before they go. Generally speaking most of the courses from the Mass Comm department can transfer as CJC electives.

Courses available for Spring 2024 are those listed as SUMMER courses in this document. All syllabi are available here (just click on the relevant department).

To apply, students should visit the UFIC’s program page. There is a $425 application fee. Any student not selected can have this fee reimbursed.
