Natalie Asorey Receives UF and UFCJC Faculty Advisor/Mentor of the Year Awards
Natalie Asorey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations Lecturer and Associate Director for Student Engagement at The Agency, was named the UF Undergraduate Faculty Advisor/Mentor of the Year for 2021-22. Asorey was nominated for that award after being named the UFCJC Faculty Advising/Mentor of the Year.
Since joining CJC in 2018, Asorey has served as a mentor and advisor for students across the College. In addition to her PR lecturer role, she is associate director of student engagement for The Agency, the College’s strategic communication agency. She currently serves as advisor for UF Alpha PRoductions and the UF Hispanic Public Relations Student Association. She is also leading CJCxNYC, the College’s first ever student immersion program based out of New York City as the faculty member in-residence.
In 2021, Asorey was selected as one of 25 2021 PRNEWS Top Women in PR Rising Stars. This prestigious group is comprised of “trailblazing women leaders from both academia and the industry. The women selected are those in the early stages of their careers but have already demonstrated remarkable work.” Asorey was one of three women in academia named to the list.
