Three CJC Advertising Students Honored in National Student AAF ADDY Awards Competition
Three University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising students are recipients of 2021 National Student American Advertising Federation (AAF) ADDY Awards. Andrea Wood, Nicole Lopez and Alexa Schummer received two Silver ADDYs and a prestigious Judge’s Choice Award in the national student competition.
Previously, their work was honored in the AAF Gainesville competition which qualified their entries for inclusion in the AAF 4th District Florida/Caribbean contest. The winning 4th District entries were forwarded to the national competition.
Advertising Lecturer in Creative Mariano German Coley was the faculty advisor on the projects.
The mission of the three-tier ADDY Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. The awards were presented at a virtual gala on June 11.
