Carla Fisher to Speak at Risk Communication Strategies Virtual Workshop
Carla Fisher, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising associate professor, faculty affiliate in the UF Center for Arts in Medicine and a member of the UF Health Center’s Cancer Population Sciences research program, will speak at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Superfund Research Program (SRP) virtual workshop, SRP Risk Communication Strategies to Reduce Exposures and Improve Health, on June 21-22.
The two-day workshop will bring together NIEHS SRP grantees, partners, and colleagues to discuss strategies to communicate potential health risks with the goals of preventing and reducing exposures and improving health.
Fisher will be part of the “Translating Research into Communication Tools” panel and will give a presentation on “Harnessing Social Media to Share Science on Breast Cancer and the Environment.”
