Sylvia Chan-Olmsted Co-Authors Article on the Development of Egypt’s Video Streaming Industry
Sylvia Chan-Olmsted, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Telecommunication professor and Media Consumer Research director, is the co-author of “The Development of Video Streaming Industry in Egypt: Examining Its Market Environment and Business Model” published in the Journal of Media Business Studies on Dec. 6.
Chan-Olmsted and Rasha Allam examined the development of Egypt’s video streaming industry and what business model factors influence the performance of this market. They found that that economic and cultural factors are important for setting parameters of competition and that there is a need for flexibility in pricing and partnerships.
