Rachel Grant is a Featured Speaker During UT’s CCI 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Week
Rachel Grant, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Journalism assistant professor, will be a featured speaker at the University of Tennessee’s College of Communication and Information’s (CCI) 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Week.
Grant’s presentation, “Contextualizing the History of the Black Lives Matter Movement,” will kick off the virtual event on Sept. 29. The week-long event is targeted to the CCI community with specific focus on its 1,240 undergraduate majors. Participants will learn about diversity and inclusion issues and best practices from leaders and experts from inside and outside the college and university.
The 2020 event, with the theme “Communicating Why Black Lives Matter,” features two keynote events, nine panels, and a diversity festival for students, faculty, staff and the UT Knoxville community.
