Jasmine McNealy to Moderate UF Black Lives Matter Forum

Jasmine McNealy, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications associate director of the Marion B. Brechner First Amendment Project and Telecommunication associate professor, will moderate a conversation with #BlackLiveMatters founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi on June 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by UF’s Accent Speakers Bureau, Black Student Union and Pride Student Union. Anyone with a valid UFL.edu email address can register to receive a link to watch the show, which can be accessed at http://bit.ly/BLMatUF.

Cullors, Garza, and Tometi created the viral Twitter hashtag #BlackLivesMatter and the Black Lives Matter Global Network, a global organizing project to end state violence and oppression against Black people. The Black Lives Matter Global Network now has 40 chapters in 4 countries.
