CJC Alumna Named Editor of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications alumna Daniela Dimitrova, Ph.D. 2003, and Iowa State University Greenlee School of Communication professor, has been named editor of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly.
Dimitrova’s research focuses on political communication and she has published extensively in journals such as Communication Research, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, New Media & Society, and JCMC.
She received the LAS Excellence in Graduate Mentoring and International Service awards from Iowa State University and was featured in the Women Impacting ISU calendar. In February 2019, she was named an Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) 2019 Senior Scholar and received a $5,000 grant to study media coverage of the Syrian refugee crisis.
