CJC Doctoral Student Chosen for Milton Wolf Emerging Scholar Fellowship
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications doctoral student Phillip Arceneaux was awarded a Milton Wolf Emerging Scholar Fellowship to attend the 2019 Milton Wolf Seminar on Media and Diplomacy in Vienna, Austria from April 23-26. The theme of the seminar is “The New Global Media (Dis)order in International Relations: Agonizing Struggles and Elusive Solutions.”
Each year, approximately 10 outstanding advanced graduate students, postdoctoral students, law students, or equivalents studying areas related to the seminar theme are selected for the Fellowships. Recipients receive airfare, accommodations, and a food and local travel stipend to attend the seminar. The Fellows must attend all seminar discussions and events, serve as rapporteurs and author a 1500- 2000-word essay documenting and analyzing the seminar discussions.
The seminar and the fellowship are co-sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School of Communication, the American Austrian Foundation, and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
