UF Online Partnership with Disney Employees Offers Access to Two CJC Degrees
In partnership with the University of Florida, Walt Disney Company announced that they will pay full tuition for eligible employees who pursue online bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations or Telecommunication from the UF College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC).
The partnership between UF Online and The Walt Disney Company will provide access to the bachelor’s degree programs through Disney Aspire, Disney’s comprehensive education benefits program focused on the career development of Disney’s workforce. More than 80,000 full-time and part-time hourly employees, who have more than 90 days of service, will be eligible to have 100 percent of their tuition, textbooks and course material paid upfront by Disney.
In addition to the UFCJC degrees, Disney employees can pursue degrees at UF in business administration and sports management.
As part of the enrollment process a coach from Guild Education will be available to determine their eligibility to receive educational benefits, review their academic background, and provide qualified prospective students with a unique link to the UF Online admissions application.
If granted admission by the UF, Disney cast members could begin UF Online classes in January 2019 for the spring semester.
