CJC Student Wins Prestigious NCAA Award
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations Junior Josie Kuhlman received the prestigious 2017 NCAA Elite 90 Award Winner for women’s tennis on the eve of the NCAA Championships “Round of 16.”
This honor goes to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site of each of the NCAA’s 90 championships. Kuhlman is only the second UF student-athlete in any sport to claim the honor since its inception in 2010.
Kuhlman carries a 4.0 grade-point average while competing on the nation’s top-ranked tennis team. She plays the No. 2 singles position in UF’s dual match lineup and is currently ranked No. 23 in the country.
