University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications doctoral student Mila Khalitova has been awarded the Grunig PRIME Research Fellowship from the Institute for Public Relations (IPR).  The PRIME Fellowship is one of the most prestigious awards for public relations doctoral students.

The Fellowship, which is awarded annually, is named for James E. Grunig and Larissa A. Grunig, professors emeriti at the University of Maryland.

Khalitova will work at PRIME Research’s Ann Arbor offices for six weeks in the summer and receive a $5,000 stipend “to learn more about public relations research including data collection, data analysis, interpretation of research results and consultation.”

As part of the fellowship, Khalitova will produce a research paper for public releations practitioners. She will receive a $2,500 stipend upon IPR’s acceptance of her research paper for publication.
