University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations Assistant Professor Rita Linjuan Men has been awarded the prestigious PRIDE Award for Outstanding Innovation, Development and Educational Achievement in Public Relations from the National Communications Association Public Relations Division.

The selection committee reviewed more than 60 articles that appeared in last year’s Public Relations Review and Journal of Public Relations Research. The outstanding journal article, “Infusing Social Media with Humanity: Corporate Character, Public Engagement, and Relational Outcomes,” was published in Public Relations Review in September 2015.  Men co-authored the article with Dr. Wan-Hsiu Sunny Tsai, associate professor at the University of Miami School of Communication.
