Amy Jo Coffey and Janice Krieger accepted into UF leadership programs
Congratulations to professors, Dr. Amy Jo Coffey and Dr. Janice Krieger, on their acceptance into two prestigious University of Florida leadership programs.
Amy Jo will be one of only 15 participants selected to participate in the UF Academy. Designed for emerging leaders at UF, the Academy is a nine-month program focusing on immersion in the university culture and exposure to its organizational structure.
Academy members will meet with the University president, UF vice presidents, key UF leaders and key legislators in Tallahassee. Participants gain an increased understanding of high-level issues that affect UF–managerial, legal, academic, community—as well as an increased understanding of the governance processes and systems in place on campus.
Janice was selected for the Advanced Leadership for Academics and Professionals Program. This program is for UF academic and professional leaders who wish to further explore and develop their leadership skills.
Participants will develop the skills and tools to more effectively manage and lead people, further department programs through a better understanding of both strategic and operational issues within the University, and help move a strategic agenda forward to help others achieve their goals.
